千亩农田大变身！绘就兴农新图景

On January 2, 2026, the high-standard farmland consolidation and upgrading demonstration project covering over 1,000 mu (about 66.7 hectares) in Ningxiang, Changsha, is progressing steadily. More than 30 pieces of construction machinery are operating busily in the fields, with field ridges removed and gullies filled, striving to build a modern agricultural pattern featuring "regularly-shaped fields, interconnected roads and linked irrigation canals".

2026年1月2日，长沙宁乡千亩高标准农田平整示范工程正有序推进，30多台机械穿梭作业，田埂被拆、沟壑填平，全力打造“田成方、路相通、渠相连”的现代农业格局。

Launched in November 2025, the government-invested project involves comprehensive upgrading of over 1,300 mu of scattered small plots (locally called "palm-sized fields" or "chicken-coop fields") through land consolidation, soil improvement, and the construction of supporting infrastructure such as irrigation systems and farm roads. It is expected to be completed before the Spring Festival.

该工程于2025年11月启动，政府投资建设，将1300多亩零散“巴掌田”“鸡窝田”进行土地平整、土壤改良及灌溉、道路等基础设施配套升级，预计春节前完工。

The core goals of the project are to merge small plots into contiguous large ones, convert abandoned croplands into high-yield farmland, and support small-scale farmers in transitioning into large-scale grain producers. Upon completion, the consolidated farmland will be transferred to modern agricultural enterprises for double-cropping rice cultivation. Small-scale farmers—who previously grappled with meager returns from grain farming—will earn a net annual income of 300 yuan per mu through land transfer fees.

工程核心目标是实现“小田变大田、荒田变丰产田、种粮小户变种粮大户”：完工后农田将整体流转给现代化农业企业，推行双季稻耕作；小种粮户可解脱于“种粮不增收”的困境，每亩每年净增收 300元流转费。

Estimates indicate that the upgraded farmland will boost grain output by 500 kilograms per mu. In addition to accommodating large agricultural machinery and improving water use efficiency, the project also acts as a pivotal measure to safeguard regional food security and advance rural revitalization.

据测算，改造后每亩农田预计增产500公斤，既能满足大型农机作业、提高水资源利用率，也是保障粮食安全、助力乡村振兴的重要举措。
