During the 2026 Qingming Festival holiday, Sinojackia dolichocarpa, a Class Ⅱ national key protected wild plant, bloomed on a large scale for the first time at Hunan Botanical Garden in Changsha. As an endemic and endangered species unique to China, it is known as a "living fossil" with an extremely small wild population, making it as rare as the giant panda.

After more than 30 years of artificial conservation, this critically endangered plant has finally bloomed in clusters, with elegant white bell-shaped flowers forming a unique and precious spring scene. This also marks an important achievement in the local conservation of rare and endangered plants.
