全球仅12人！长沙女科学家获国际奖项

The International Union of Pure and Applied Chemistry (IUPAC) recently announced the recipients of the IUPAC 2025 Awards for Distinguished Women in Chemistry or Chemical Engineering. Professor Lin Zhang from the School of Metallurgy and Environment at Central South University won this award, becoming one of the 12 outstanding female scientists in the world to receive this honor.

近日，国际纯粹与应用化学联合会（IUPAC）对外公布了2025年度IUPAC化学化工杰出女性奖获奖者名单，中南大学冶金与环境学院林璋教授获奖，成为全球获此殊荣的12位杰出女性科学家之一。

As the world's largest and most authoritative chemical organization, IUPAC was founded in 1919 in Paris, France. The IUPAC Awards for Distinguished Women in Chemistry or Chemical Engineering were initiated by IUPAC in 2011 to recognize women scientists and engineers worldwide who have made outstanding contributions to the field of chemistry and chemical engineering. In 2011, 23 female chemists were recognized. Since then, the award has been granted every two years, with 12 recipients selected each time. The award committee makes the final selection based on the outstanding achievements made by the nominees worldwide in the field of basic research in chemistry or applied research in chemical engineering, excellent outcomes achieved in the field of education and teaching, or brilliant leadership and management skills demonstrated in the field of chemical science. Since its inception, the award has received increasing attention from the international community and played a vital role in promoting the influence and contribution of female scientists in the field of chemistry and chemical engineering.

作为全球最大、最具权威性的化学组织，IUPAC于1919年创建于法国巴黎。IUPAC化学化工杰出女性奖是由IUPAC于2011年发起设立的一个国际奖项，旨在表彰世界范围内在化学化工领域中作出杰出贡献的女科学家和工程师。2011年，23名女化学家获得表彰。此后，该奖励每两年评选一次，每次产生12名获奖人。评奖委员会根据世界范围内的被提名人在化学基础研究或化工应用研究领域作出的杰出成就、在教育教学领域取得的卓越成果或在化学科学领域展示的突出领导和管理才能，进行最终评选。自设立以来，该奖项在国际社会的关注度不断提升，对推动女性科学家在化学化工领域的影响力和贡献发挥了重要作用。

Professor Lin Zhang serves as the discipline leader for Environmental Science and Engineering at Central South University, and also the executive deputy director of the Chinese National Engineering Research Center for Control & Treatment of Heavy Metal Pollution. She has long been engaged in chemical research related to heavy metal pollution control and is committed to solving scientific problems in pollution control projects.

林璋教授，是中南大学环境科学与工程学科带头人，国家重金属污染防治工程技术研究中心常务副主任。她长期从事重金属污染控制化学研究，致力于解决污染控制工程中的科学问题。
